LOK SABHA
The Lok Sabha, which is featured at Model United Nations (MUN) conferences, is the lower house of the Indian Parliament, where elected representatives from all Indian states and territories meet to make laws and oversee the government’s work. The number of seats in the House is determined by the population of each state. Lok Sabha has the power to initiate and pass legislation, and it also holds the
government accountable through questions and debates. The house represents the diverse interests and perspectives of the Indian people and is an important forum for democratic discourse. Participating in the Lok Sabha would educate delegates about the critical role in shaping the policies and laws that govern India.
Taking part in Lok Sabha at the Model United Nations (MUN) provides a platform for delegates to address policies and governmental dynamics. Participants will be able to better understand parliamentary issues across India, develop effective communication and will be able to form deep inquiries regarding bills that are passed. delegates will also gain knowledge on the process of approving bills and strategies for protecting the interests of states all across India.
Agenda:
